MALAYSIA:::Tiga sektor dikenal pasti penyumbang kemalangan di tempat kerja
Sektor pembuatan, perkhidmatan dan perdagangan borong dan runcit dikenal pasti penyumbang utama kes kemalangan di tempat kerja tahun ini, kata Timbalan Menteri Sumber Manusia Datuk Seri Ismail Abd Muttalib.
Beliau berkata sebanyak 20,859 kes kemalangan tempat kerja dilapor sehingga Jun tahun ini dan bilangan itu dijangka meningkat.

Foreign workers are the most victimised in the labour force and the Malaysian Trades Union Congress (MTUC) is ringing the alarm bell of more unrest if the nearly six million workforce is not treated with dignity.
Its secretary-general, N. Gopal Kishnam (pic), said the riot in August involving Bangladeshi and Nepalese workers at an electronics factory at the Kelapa Sawit industrial area in Kulaijaya, Johor, was just an early warning symptom of long-standing problems that were being swept under the carpet.

KUALA LUMPUR: Red tape is compelling the construction industry into employing illegal immigrants, all because it takes up to eight months for applications for work permits to be processed.
With such delays and contractual obligations to be met, many have opted to take a chance by employing those without proper documents.
Facts and figures outlining the delay were presented at a high-powered industry meeting where senior government officials were present.
